Kurt Vouri
Kurt has nearly 20 years’ experience in the IT sector and has had an extensive career, building and managing successful companies. He has held senior leadership positions in several successful start-ups, managed teams of 20 – 50 sales representatives, run large groups of consultants, and built, bought, sold or closed businesses along the way.
While he is considered an entrepreneur, Kurt does not lose focus of the most valuable resource in any organization: People. Kurt’s first step to building a strong foundation is to develop a culture where People are paramount.
He is a strong team player and team leader with an orientation towards results. He uses his excellent time management and planning skills to help achieve a good balance between his professional and private lives.
As the 19th employee of MetroNet, the first CLEC in Canada, Kurt helped build MetroNet’s marketing, growth and revenue strategy to over 2500 employees in 7 major Canadian cities. Kurt initiated MetroNet’s acquisition of a small Calgary interconnect to help meet MetroNet’s business plan objective. MetroNet was sold to AT&T US in 1998.
Kurt then started T1 Technologies as Principal and Vice-President. Kurt helped build T1 Technologies to a company of 20 employees with annual revenues of $2.4 million within 2 years. Group Telecom purchased T1 Technologies, and Kurt went on to help Group Telecom build the Calgary office in a management position.
Recently, Kurt built an infrastructure practice at RIS with over $2 million in annual revenue. RIS was sold to Golden Gate Capital in 2008.
Kurt is enthused about once again building a company and delivering what customers need. T3 will be the place where good people deliver professional services to our long-standing customers.
